This great family collection from the Robert Harrop collection the idea that was born on the cobbled stable yard of a 17th Century English house has travelled through the Robert Harrop doggie people trades, professions and sports, through time and even now into space. The Robert Harrop designs challenge now is to remain true to the standards and continue to follow the one guiding light, which remains the design and creation of original ideas, which become treasured possessions.
As is well known by now, the history of the Doggie People can be traced back to one particular character. The very first sketch that gave form to the thoughts and feelings back in the 1980's was Lord Laurence as he was known in the doggie people world, he gave way in later years to our waxed jacketed doggie people character and very definitely the patriarchal ancestor to the 200 plus Robert Harrop Doggie People characters that came after.
